Otaku Card generated dynamically.
For the past 7-8 days, I’ve been using my spare time to create an otaku card generator. The scheduled release of otaku card site is around mid/end of May ^^.
What is this project about? This is a web-based project which keep track of your anime/game/figurine activities, with the ability to dynamically generate an image (.png) card which can be used as forums signature.
At the moment the status of this project is 80% finish, and has 1 card template. The project is written in php/html/css/javascript and utilize php gd library.
I’ll be happy to receive inputs for the next card templates. Things to consider: it has 3 category: anime, game, and figure; those sections can be toggled on and off (my current template shows all 3). for each category there are 3 sections, for example in category anime, the sections are: Currently Watching (3 rows), Finished Series (3 rows), and Favorite (1 row). There are two sizes of the card, normal size is 380 pixel wide x 160 pixel tall, and smaller size is 285 pixel wide x 120 pixel tall.
[9th May 2007 Update]

Added ability to use custom bg, and planning to have different size (450 x 120). still haven’t put the ability to toggle category selection (anime/game/figure), maybe tomorrow ^^
[11th May 2007 Update]
- Updated the font.
- Toggle category on/off
- Changed the format to jpeg instead png

Showing only 1 category (figurine)

Showing 2 categories (anime and figurine)

Showing all 3 categories.
I’m currently planning to add more theme (different font, different block position, etc). but Still having difficulty finding nice small fonts.
I’m currently looking for this font:
if you know what type of font is this, have the access to the ttf file, and want to share it to me, please let me know ^^
[15th May 2007 Update]
- Different card layout, banner size 480×120

Banner style with anime and figure category selected
Only 1 change since last update, a bit busy ^^. will do different theme (font and color) for each of card layout for next update.
[2nd June 2007 Update]

Looking nice, pleased to see the format changed from png to jpeg.
As for the font, I got something very similar, but I’m not sure if it’s the exact same. Here’s the link:
