Just bought ikea Detolf glass cabinet today, not that cheap, costed me A$179 and another A$25 for the halogen lamp :O, Ikea singapore sells Detolf only S$99 (or around A$89), and Ikea US sells only US$59, don’t know why australia’s one is so expensive ><
The cabinet is very nice, it has magnets on the glass door, easy to build, but… it’s very heavy (45 kg!!!!!), the cabinet stand nicely beside my computer desk
going to replace the gashapon with figurine when I get more :p

The Detolf is regulation gear for figure collectors. I thought they would be cheap all over and why they’re popular. Here in the US they are quite affordable as $59 is about the price of a 1/6 figure. Anyway, the glass all around design makes it a great case for figure display.

The Detolf cabinet is very nice indeed.. I just hope that Ikea Australia (or at least the one in melbourne!!) will lower its price….. currently detolf price is more than two 1/6 figurine price T_T

ieek, that’s pretty expensive…
I was thinking of getting one from my local Ikea (Victoria Gardens, Richmond) but I realised I have…no…space…;_;
But the cabinet looks awesome! I love glass cabinets, but I’m not so sure on the Halogen lights…I’ve seen problems with it at work where it can damage figures from heat if it’s in real close proximity.
P.S. I think I’ll stay a regular on this blog…about the only one I see from Melbourne.

Ikea Richmond has sale going on untill sunday this week, but detolf isn’t on sale
it’s still overpriced at $179 T_T
It’s true about the halogen light can damage the figurine.
I only turn it on very occasionally (when someone want to see my collection :p) like 10 minutes per day (or less).

Bah! I guess I’ll pass on it completely =/
I guess that gives me more money for figures XD
My friend might be selling that massive Alter Fate. Luckily I got just enough room for it.

Alter Testarossa is scheduled to be re-released at April, but HLJ and HobbySearch reservation are closed already =\
That figurine is very big, which means expensive shipping @@ 3850 yen with SAL… 10500 yen total or around AU$120, for 1/8 it is expensive
