‹ Kyonko and Haruki (Coloring) •

Drew the image in paper, did the line art, and colored it with Photoshop CS3 and Wacom Intuos3.
Time for drawing: 30 mins.
Time for line art and coloring: 4 hours.
Background is screen cap from anime.
Line art:

decided to change her ponytail when did the coloring ^^;
Original sketch (very dirty, I used my camera to transfer it to my computer, don’t have scanner :p)

Drew the picture at office lunch time ^^; the style is a bit inspired by minami-ke and aria (recent animes that I watch ^^;).
I hope I can improve my drawing more, this one is barely decent ^^;

The body’s awesome, but the face looks a little weird. I think it’s probably the eyes. Or something on the face, I think. Either that, or I’m the weird one.
Nevertheless, nice piece of art.

Cool! I’m liking the shading and clothing folds. :] I personally think the hair needs more fluidity to it, but it’s still a very nice picture.

Hm, I think there’s too much shadow in the face, and if you asks me, it seems a little bit unnatural because the effect of the light sources (the direction of the shadows) is not consistent unless you have two lamps focused on her face. But that will also be unnatural if you consider the daylight background.
Nice line art, though !

Your choice of color looks very fitting for an anime cell paint. Where did the background come from?
Things I would work on would be your line quality - know when to use thick lines and when to use thin lines. Proportions are quite good. I’d watch how to make natural lines for hair so that it doesn’t look like a PVC doll.

background is screen cap from anime, as I mentioned in the post
my level is not high enough to make a proper background
