Animelo is great! both days Saturday and Sunday were great! too bad I can’t take picture inside.. they took my camera T_T

Seeing them directly is better! especially when you get 3rd row from front seat

On Sunday animelo, Momoi is definitely the best, Hocchan is also very cute!! JAM Project also very good (too bad no Okui.. well she was on the Saturday animelo tho..), and also the Idolm@ster girls were great, glad they sang plenty of idolm@ster songs, Relations was really good! oh and also Aya-chan looks chubbier and prettier

When I heard Saturday Animelo theme song (Yells), I felt something was missing. which is JAM project voices, realized this on Sunday Animelo. it needs Kageyama voice!

Small post for today, the internet is way too unstable and also I need to pack my things, leaving Japan tomorrow.

Akihabara Channel has made an Interactive Map of Akihabara in English, complete with store locations and photos. I’m sure this will help me a lot for my next Japan travel (next year!).

Anime Network, ADV opened free legal streaming anime video late last month (November 2007). Currently this site is only open for U.S and Canada internet users (they do IP checking, I had to use proxy to get in >_< ). The videos they offer are high quality video. Best part from viewing from this site is that it’s legal, and FREE (they do have ads in the anime, just like TV).

Be very careful on buying this Alter 1/8 Mokyu Mokyu Dark Saber, plenty of anime shops have bootleg version of this Mokyu saber (and obviously the sword version too..). This figurine is a wonderfest limited edition figurine, so it’s actually a rare figurine, most shops in Japan are selling this figurine for more than 9000yen.

I did some research about this bootleg figurine, and found the differences between fake and original mokyu saber.

Went to eGames Expo this Saturday. eGames Expo is a game exhibition, something like Tokyo Game Show, but smaller
The show was held for 3 days, 16-18 October, Friday-Sunday. I only had time for Saturday, there were eminence show and Haruhi dance competition on Friday, couldn’t come because of work

Yesterday night, the last group battle of Saimoe 2007 has ended. Eight quarter finalists have been officially announced, so I decided to post about Saimoe 2007.

What is Saimoe? short explanation: Saimoe 最萌 (kanji which means, the most moe) is an annual competition held by 2ch (japanese popular anime bbs). All female anime characters that appear from 1st July 2006 to 30th June 2007 can be nominated. Read here for longer explanation.

Went to comiket today (and 2 days ago, but I didn’t take alot of photos ^^). Anyway, the queue to enter comiket was really terrible, I had to wait 50 minutes to get in, the queue is around 500m or more (maybe 1km). My Otaku Card

Otaku Card launched. Even tho it’s launched, the project is still work in progress.

My next planned update (I have plenty of updates coming, but quite busy at the moment ^^;):

• View and Manage all your entries (currently, you can’t see your old entries, but the data of all your entries are actually logged).
• Addition of themes (with different font sets and colors).

A world-renowned exhibition letting visitors play games from the entire 40-year history of interactive entertainment is coming to Melbourne next year (2008).

Otaku Card generated dynamically.

For the past 7-8 days, I’ve been using my spare time to create an otaku card generator. The scheduled release of otaku card site is around mid/end of May ^^.

What is this project about? This is a web-based project which keep track of your anime/game/figurine activities, with the ability to dynamically generate an image (.png) card which can be used as forums signature.

I will be there tomorrow, and I hope I will get some nice photos to upload in here ^^.

And also, on the 16th August I will be going to Tokyo Japan untill 26th of August for holiday, got my flight booked and confirmed. And I’m starting a Japanese language course from this Monday (30th April), I hope I can do some basic conversation in Japan :p

For figurine update, It’s been a while since I received my last figurine (March), I’m currently waiting for my 4 figurines to arrive from HLJ, maybe on the next two weeks (SAL is slow!!)

It’s been a week since my last post, and this one is going to be the longest post so far :D. This is my rant about the availability of authentic anime figurines in here, Melbourne (Australia). There aren’t many shop that sell official anime figurines, and if they do, the price is quite expensive, about double than the original price.

The only shops that I knew sell authentic figurines are Minotaur, EB Games and Hobby Japan (not related to Hobby Link Japan/HLJ). Other shops are selling mostly bootlegged figurines….
