It has been 10 months since my last update! I’ve been busy with real life, had so many things going on. one good news tho, I’m now engaged, and going to get married sometime next year

It’s been buying a lot less figurine in these recent months, so I think I’m less otaku than I used to be haha (who would have thought!), but I still love taking photos (and play games). I’ve built another blog for my photography hobby located at ronvoto.com (You can see my fiancee there )

Saw this when I was looking around one of the treasure shop in akihabara… figurine set with 198000 yen (US$2200) price tag…

Apparently this figurine is a very limited figurine from ichiban kuji series (you get the figurine by buying lottery tickets), I only saw 1 shop is selling this figurine in Akihabara..

Can’t believe my luck I got this figurine just by buying 2 lottery tickets! hahahaha

my 1st try I got F (the jet planes), I chose the one with tsukasa picture, since they don’t have kagami’s anymore…, then second try suddenly the shop keeper said omedetou, and gave me the tsukasa figurine (can’t stop smiling at that time) hahaha!

Some of the shops (the treasure shops) are selling this tsukasa figurine for 6k yen now, but expect the price to increase, since the tsukasa version is the one with the most demand.. (second is miyuki x sheryl)

For you that collects figurines, I’m sure you’ve heard this company name before, however there won’t be anymore figurine from them; Jun Planning has suspended their Japan operation since 30th April and files for bankruptcy.

Never had any Jun Planning figurine photo in my site, since I only have 1 of Jun Planning figurine, which is Sanzenin Nagi. But I actually have a photo set of Jun Planning Ryuk figurine for a local anime magazine that I took more than a year ago. So as a tribute I will post it here; One of the best figurine ever created by Jun Planning, Ryuk from Death Note

Woah, it’s been 3 months since I did my last photo shoot… been busy with many things (a.k.a Games! haha).. anyway just got this figurine Today.

This figurine is 1/7 scale Yoko prepainted resin kit (yep no need to paint etc like normal resin kit..), this pre-painted resin kit is made by E2046 as part of their gathering series. And currently this Yoko resin is my first resin figurine.

You can display this figurine in 2 position, first is like the first picture, she’s attached to the base with the help of magnet (yes magnet, not peg) inside yoko body, and the second one (2nd picture) is the upside down position, she’s attached via peg on her hair in this up-side down position.

Nothing much I can say about this figurine except that this one is excellent, so enjoy the photos

Not really sure if this one will see PVC release, I’ll be worried she will bend with this up-side down pose if it’s a PVC..

Somehow they made her bikini string with transparent string, I prefer normal red bikini string, but this one looks okay I guess…

Pretty figurine, best Yoko figurine and also one of my most expensive figurine in my collection, but resin is usually more expensive (eventho I think PVC figurines are not cheap anymore now.. getting close to resin price…).

And maybe this one will be my first and last resin purchase, resin figurine is very fragile… I accidentally broke her boot zipper and one of the gun stand while assembling this figurine, but all easily fixed by super glue..!

edit: forgot to mention that you need to use super glue to stick her hair pins, there’s no way you can stick it without glue and display her up-side down.

Been a while since I did my last post, was quite busy with other things

This figurine is 1/8 Gwendolyn from PS2 Game Odin Sphere, made by Alter. Gwendolyn is a Valkyrie. She’s the protagonist in the first book in the game; the Valkyrie chapter.

Even though she’s only 1/8 scale, this figurine is quite tall and wide, thanks to her base, her wings and her spear…, but she still fit in the detolf slot, so you don’t need to worry

Alter did a very great job with this figurine, but I still think that the color they put for this figurine can be improved. It needs more vibrant color, like the character in the game.

Her base is removable, I hope the peg is quite sturdy tho.. since she shake a bit everytime I open the display case.

1/8 Ma-ryan from To Heart 2 Another Days, made by Kotobukiya. First figurine for this year! after some Play-Asia stupid delay…

Bought this figurine as an impulse buy, since I dont normally buy To Heart nor Kotobukiya figurines, but this one is… sooo moe, can’t resist haha… ^^

This figurine is one of the best kotobukiya figurine I’ve seen so far. Great job for kotobukiya for creating such a nice figurine

You can remove her skirt, she’s wearing a white sukumizu, but I decided not to remove her skirt, since it quite hard to put it back

This figurine is so good that Kotobukiya decides to milk more money out of it by releasing alternate costume, scheduled for May release.. but this one is definitely better than the alternate ver

Overall, this figurine is lovely. If you like cute figurine, you definitely will like this one.

2008 Favorites

Figurine

It’s very hard to pick favorite figurine for 2008.. so many good figurines but my choice went to 1/8 Ryu Meifeng- Shuraki 02 made by Good Smile. Even tho she’s originally released 2007, but I got it from the second release, which is in 2008 :p. Close second is Alter’s Queen’s Gate Alice (haven’t took her picture )

Favorite figurine maker for this year is definitely Good Smile Company, so many good figurines from them this year. Alter is a close second favorite

Game

Favorite game that released this year is definitely Disgaea 3 (魔界戦記ディスガイア３). Plenty of good game, but this one get the most play time from me. I’m still playing it right now

1/8 Siesta from Zero no Tsukaima series, made by Alter. This figurine is really well made her face is really well done. I was planning to do normal white background shoot for this one, but one of my lamp suddenly died.. and decided to actually do something else (cant remember how many months I use white bg haha).
