Man I hate those spammers, I get constant spam myself, Luckily Akismet keeps them from going in, although lately a few are getting through. Luckily I made sure that there must be at least 1 approved Comment before it auto-publishes. And you need several before it autopublishes anything with urls in it.
Spammers, those bastards.

I’ve been having repeat difficulties with spammers as well, along with that, people that continuously create user accounts trying to get privs to post etc.
I recently enabled a plugin called wp-ban, it’s been working pretty good so far, prevents all page loads for banned peeps, and you can ban via dns or ip ranges, so it’s pretty practical.
