日本に行くぞう！！

Very busy this week and last week; I have to finish all my projects at work, because I’m going to Japan this Wednesday evening. Going to arrive at Tokyo Narita Airport Thursday morning this time I’m not going solo tho, going there with 2 friends (danie, and one is non blogger).

Going to be there untill the 1st of September. So far my only schedules are: attending Comiket (15) Friday, (16) Saturday, and (17) Sunday, and Animelo (30) Saturday and (31) Sunday. So expect to see some coverage in this blog

I’m going to use this helpful akiba event August guide to fill in my empty schedules. There are several interesting events, like Shonen Jumps Expo, Robot anime expo etc

I’ll try to do 1 more figurine photo before I leave on Wednesday

My Internet has been down for 5 days now waiting my new ADSL 2 to connect. I can only online either from the office or stealing my neighbor very slow wireless connection ^^; so in the mean time, I’ll put on small post regarding my wish list from the just ended summer 08 Wonder Festival ^^

Ryu Meifeng from the Shuraki series. She’s the second Shuraki released by Good Smile Company (see the first Shuraki here). Her voice in the drama cd is voiced by Iizuka Mayumi.

She’s currently my favorite Shuraki from five Shurakis released so far love her expression and her pose, and she has very nice custom base too

This is the first time I post something about magazine (even tho I have plenty of them ^^). Main reason is because of the awesomeness of this Dengeki Festival It even beats the one that come with Dakimakura (at least at that time I wasn’t this excited hahaha!). Big thanks to my mate hectic3 who helped me bought this magazine

This Dengeki Little Buster EX comes with ecstasy box (well, the box is about the same with previous Dengeki festivals..) which has a mouse pad, puzzles and a set of playing card. This book is also rated 18 years and up, since there are Hentai pictures in it. The game itself is non eroge game, but it has eroge version scheduled for 25 July 2008 release.

For you that unfamiliar with Shuraki series: the series is original series, without anime / manga behind it, released as figurine, together with a drama cd and an artwork booklet (which explains the name Shuraki Trinity). These are the translation of Soul Calibur 4 omake that I post on Tuesday. Actually I’ve updated the Tuesday post and added the translation there one by one, but I decided to create new post and put all the translation here.

Just finished all the translations today. This is my first time doing fansub, took me around 20 hours.. I was stuck in some uncommon katakana words, and also rephrasing the words in english wasn’t easy too @_@ now with this thing finished, I can do some figurine photo session for my next post

Been planning to do this since last year, but waited till I have played more than 20 games :)  Yah it’s quite slow, 20 games after 1 year and 3 months (Bought my PS3 at 24th of March 2007, which is one day after the PS3 release date in Australia, 23rd March 2007).

I’m going to review the games that I have played for more than 10 hours (or completed). I give the score mostly based on my enjoyment, technical aspects are taken into consideration but will only have slight impact on the scoring.

This game hasn’t announced officially yet. Read this one from Moonphase diary. This game will be mentioned in the August edition of Dengeki G (30 June release date).

The only information that I can gather up to this point  (no guarantee that these information are accurate, since there’s no official information yet):

• This will be a total remake from the old game with the same title released in 98, White Album / ホワイトアルバム.
• Developed by Leaf and Aquaplus (Tears to Tiara developer).
• There will be anime adaptation which starts Spring 2009.
• Hirano Aya is the seiyuu for Yuki and Mizuki Nana is the seiyuu for Rina.
• Game type is not yet announced, probably it will stay as visual novel (but who knows, aquaplus changed Tears to Tiara to RPG game for PS3 remake).

I’ll post more when I got more information about this game

Good to see that PS3 is getting more and more Japanese game.

Yoko from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, made by Enterbrain. This one is the younger Yoko version (approx 14 years old they say.. but no 14 years old have this kind of body O_O). This figurine is 1/7 scale, but actually she’s closer to 1/6, her height is 27cm (10.63″) from hair to feet, or 34cm (13.38″) from the tip of the sniper to her feet, she is HUGE!

I didn’t expect that this figurine will be this good, since I don’t really trust Enterbrain quality, but I’m happy that she’s done beautifully.

This is the first time I put more than 30 images for 1 figurine, so enjoy

Reinforce Zwei (or Reinforce 2) from Nanoha Strikers, made by Alter. This figurine is cute, cuter than the anime version and I think the scale is around 1/1.5 (for you who doesn’t know her: She’s small!).

I’ve Been waiting these nendos for ages, the scheduled release was around Dec, but then get pushed back to March and then April…. pre-ordered on September last year, and just got them 3 days ago.

Nendoroid Lucky Star, Izumi Konata and Hiragii Kagami, made by Good Smile Company. These 2 Nendoroids are the Chara Ani exclusive version, which is sadly only available in Japan….. I got these nendos all thanks to hectic3

1/8 Pastel Ink Popup vignette, made by Good Smile Company, from the Moetan series. So far this is one of the most complicated figurine to assemble.. (which was held by char rhousemann before..). BUT one thing to say for this figurine, SUGOKU KAWAII~. Best GSC figurine ever created so far :O

Just heard this game today from kotaku and ps3forums. Cross Edge (or X Edge), This JRPG is collaboration between Capcom, Nippon Ichi, Bandai Namco, Idea Factory, Gust and Compile Heart. Compile Heart is the lead developer for this project, so I hope this game should be as good as my favorite game Agarest Senki.

This game Japan release is scheduled for September 08, and I’m sure there won’t be English release for this game =\

Tears to Tiara (ティアーズ・トゥ・ティアラ) originally a PC game, received a total remake for PS3 console. This game will be released in Japan on 17 July 2008. The regular version will be 6800 yen, and the limited edition version will be 8800 yen. The limited edition will come with an artbook and original soundtrack album CD. And I’m sure this game won’t be released in US ^^;

Kokonoe Rin, from Kodomo no Jikan. The first Polo System (removable clothing) figurine created by Max Factory. Old figurine, but just got the chance to take her picture today Bought this figurine on October 2007 (re-release, missed the Dec 06 initial release). There are two version of this figurine, this one and the one wearing blue bloomer (2006 Summer Wonder Festival Limited edition).

Asuka Bunny, from Sega. There’s actually 2 version of this figurine, this red version, and red/black version. I wasn’t sure about the quality so I only bought one, and she’s my 1st Sega prize figurine. Decided to do something different so I took the photos directly from my computer desk, handheld (sorry if the photos are blurry, my hand is a lil bit shakey) ^^

This 1/7 Pleinair figurine is made by Enterbrain. This character is the mascot character of Harada Takehito, Illustrator for many Nippon Ichi games (Disgaea 1-3, Makai Kingdom, Phantom Brave, etc). She appears in most of the games illustrated by Harada sensei. And she’s one of my most favorite character

Louise Françoise le Blanc de la Vallière (sounds funny when she says her full name using Japanese pronunciation :p) from Zero no Tsukaima series, this figurine is from the second season from the series, futatsuki no kishi. She’s wearing the legendary waitress dress ^_^. Louise is one of my favorite character, glad that Alter made this figurine.

Amamiya Manami and Inamori Mika (or more known as Manabi and Mikan ^^) from Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight manufactured by Toysworks. First I thought that they were 1/8 scale, but actually this one is non scale. I received this figurine as my birthday present back in November last year ^^.

And also I’m going to do colored background this time, after 3 whole months doing only black and white background ^^

Today, 16th January 2008, marks 1 year since I posted my 1st post in this blog. This blog name wasn’t otadesho.com at that time, it was otaku@melbindo.com (since it was hosted in my other domain melbindo.com ^^). I moved the blog to dedicated server and name it otadesho.com on the 1st May 2007 :D.

I want to give my thanks to all readers and fellow bloggers (too long to list ^^), and especially to HappySoda that inspired me to do figurine photograph (and blogging it).

This is my first dakimakura (literally means hugging pillow ^^), Yoko dakimakura <3. This dakimakura was made by Cospa. She arrived 3 weeks ago, but didn’t have the chance to take picture of here ^_^.

The quality of this dakimakura exceeds my expectation :O The image is sharp, the color is bright and also the sheet is very smooth (not silky smooth, but more like linen smooth) eventho it’s made from 100% polyester.
