Finally, Animelo Summer Live 2008 has been announced!
I first read the good news in Mizuki Nana’s blog.. she reported the press conference which was held 3 days ago. Minorin, Kurinoco, and the concert master Makkun also mentioned it in their blogs. This year’s theme is Challenge.
Press conference (April 11)
(back) Ishikawa Chiaki, Chihara Minori, Kuribayashi Minami
(front) Kageyama Hironobu, Okui Masami, Mizuki Nana
As written in the poster, this year they are dividing the gig into 2 days, each will feature different artists:
August 30 (Sat) ALI PROJECT, GRANRODEO, Kuribayashi Minami, Chihara Minori, Mizuki Nana
August 31 (Sun) Ishikawa Chiaki, JAM Project, angela, Hirano Aya, Momoi Halko
There could be more artists to come, but I’m perfectly happy with the list. Ishikawa Chiaki’s back! Too bad Suara and Jyukai didn’t make the list, they were awesome last year. My only concern is the collaboration.. I hope the 2-days thing won’t affect that –the fangirl in me demands more Nana-chan and Makkun duet~ >_<
This year venue will be Saitama Super Arena which is twice the size of Nippon Budoukan (where Animelo 2007 was held). It can fit up to 37,000 fanboys/girls depending on how they set up the stage..

August 31 + Psychic Lover, Kurobara Hozonkai (a visual kei band with Horie Yui), ELISA
I knew it, Yukarin had a Budokan concert last month and her CDs are under King Records too, so her appearance is given. This year Animelo gonna be a blast. Kill for a ticket! xD

Yatta!!! I can’t find better word to describe my enthusiasm toward this kind of event. My dream (yeah, it is a deam) is to attempt on Animelo concert.
But actually I can only relly on the DVDs
Arrgg I want to go there so much, and fall for Nana Mizuki fantastic songs, dance on Minami Kuribayashi energic musics, shout with JAM Project, cry on Minori Chihara melodies, adn steel one of crazy Ali Project dresses ^^;
Last year I was so happy to watch m.o.v.e performing, I hope there will be others great guest groups
But woho, 2 days event, that rocks even more! And I am even more sad not to be able to go there ^^;

You know the funny thing about this, this concert is on the last two days of my Japan trip and I am highly considering attending the concert. The problem I face is acquiring tickets.

I’m not too happy with the 2-days thing, low chances for Makkun/Nana-chan duet.. but I think we’ll see Nana-chan/Arika-sama duet again~ or maybe Nana-chan/Kurinoco? xD
Also higher chance that we have to go through the pain of Animelo 2006 DVD once again…

Well, if there is at least one duet like the Nana/Ali Project one of last year, it would be great! I couldnt believe it when I first saw both of them singing together ^^;
And now I often watch/listen it again and again ^^
Masami Okui / Nana Mizuki duet… omg I cant imagine it, so much it would be awesome xD
But I dont think it will happen as well. Certainly Kuribayashi/Okui, like it has become a habit ^^
arrgg guess I’ll watch the 2007 DVD tonight xD

Kurinoco/Makkun didn’t do a duet last year.. only 2006’s MASK right? Actually I think Makkun is more likely to duet with Nana-chan, looking at their long history.. Makkun even made a song for Nana-chan before (Transmigration). Anyway, both Kurinoco and Nana-chan are not performing in the same day as Makkun… T_T

She HAS TO sing dancing in the velvet moon. She cannot not sing it!! That would be a terrible disaster!! xD

And yes indeed, my mistake, the opening duet in 2007 was actually Nana-chan and Makkun ^^ (fantastic Rinbu Revolution by the way).

Yeah~ I can’t wait for the Live Formula DVD, she sang dancing in the velvet moon LIVE for the 1st time there. Damn, should’ve paid for the fastest shipping when I pre-ordered it.. now I gotta wait until May 9 (release date) + 2 weeks. T_T

Too bad I can’t. My parents won’t let me sadly. They will start yelling at my and saying it’s a waste of money. I don’t think it’s a waste of money. This gives me time to explore the country. Maybe next year, I can stay for a month. I wonder if anyone go to Japan every year?

Sounds awesome. I will still want to go, even though I think I will be burnt to a crisp after lining up for hours on end in the torturous Japanese Summer Sun for Wonderfest and Comiket in the weeks prior to the event.
Time to put all that Japanese I have learned and go hunt down those tickets
