BATTLE
There are 2 phase in battle: Move phase and Attack phase.
Move Phase
You move your character and decide your character facing direction. In this game, there’s an interesting feature, called Link System. You can control linked character and perform combo attacks (Arts). for example when you link character A and B together, you can command character B to perform skill at character A turn. each character has his/her own link area. Try to link all your character together.
Attack Phase
Action Point (AP) is needed to perform all action, such as attacking via skill and using items.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How to capture monster?
You need to get Capture skill (捕獲), it’s a dark element skill (闇). You need to get the monster hit point as low as possible before you can capture them. There’s a skill to help you called Free Attack (フリーアタック), this skill won’t reduce hp below 1, You can get this skill from the Adventure Guild (冒険者ギルド) paying 150 TP. Another factors that affect capture success rate are LUK and Hunter willpower.
How to convert item?
You need to perform full upgrade for the item you want to convert, you can check what the result of the convert by scrolling the item information using R2/L2. You can perform upgrades and convert from the Blacksmith Guild (鍛冶ギルド)
Is it true that you can change class for each character?
It’s not change class, but you can extend the class for each character above level 50, with item called “Brave Proof” (勇者の証). You can only get this item from Title achievement (称号) from the Adventure Guild (冒険者ギルド). By doing conversion you will gain 2 additional skill slot and can equip high level gears (for example you need to convert Leonhart in order to equip Leonhart sword).
How to get +999 ATK and +900 MAG equip items
You can get both items at the 5th generation, make sure you have free attack skill and capture skill.
To get +999 ATK item:
- Capture Medusa (メデューサ) and Ressa Demon (レッサーデーモン) from Rattorisu (ラットリス平原)
- Capture Mist Dragon (ミストドラゴン) from Noresu Plain (ノレス平原)
- Capture Great Devil (グレーターデビル) from Nonokasu sea (ノーノカス海道)
- Synthesize Medusa (メデューサ) and Ressa Demon (レッサーデーモン) to get Dark blob (闇の精), you have to put medusa in the first slot, or you’ll get white blob instead.
- Synthesize Dark Blob (闇の精) with Mist Dragon (ミストドラゴン) to get Evil Dragon (邪竜)
- Synthesize Evil Dragon (邪竜) with Great Devil (グレーターデビル) to get Griffon (グリフォン)
- Convert Griffon (グリフォン) to monster weapon, and then go to blacksmith guild, to convert the weapon to +999 ATK, you need around 3.5million EP
To get +900 MAG:

- Capture Silver Dragon (銀竜) from Nonokasu sea (ノーノカス海道)
- Synthesize Ouga (オウガ) and Silver Dragon (銀竜) to get Rafflesia (ラフレシア)
- Convert Rafflesia (ラフレシア) to monster weapon, and then go to blacksmith guild, to convert the weapon to +900 MAG, you need around 3.3million EP

Is it possible to re-visit past generation map?
Yes, just press the square button on the world map. with square button you can move to all the place you’ve already visited.
Who are the best soul bride for each generation?
I think there’s no absolute best, but according to Agarest gamer BBS (japanese), this is the best team for achieving highest possible damage on the 5th generation:
- 1st Gen: Fyuria, maximum love, Radius weapon: Sword / Large Sword
- 2nd Gen: Yayoi, maximum love, Thoma weapon: Rod
- 3rd Gen: Faina, maximum love, Duran weapon: Rod
- 4th Gen: Shiruvi, maximum love, Rex weapon: Sword / Large Sword
and the party: Leonhardt, Radius, Thoma, Duran, Rex, and Dishana.
Each generation soul bride are divided into 3 categories, power, magic, and multi-purpose (high AP, good speed):
- 1st Gen: Fyuria (multi), Elaine (power), Luana (magic).
- 2d Gen: Shervaniru (multi), Valerie (power), Yayoi (magic).
- 3rd Gen: Lavinia (multi), Noah (power), Faina (magic).
- 4th Gen: Shiruvi (multi), Hildagerd (power), Ryuryu (magic).
Try to get 2 melee and 2 magic.
My current hard mode gameplay soul brides:
- Elaine (max love) Radius (knuckle)
- Valeria (max love) Thoma (Spear)
- Faina (max love) Duran (dagger)
- Ryuryu (max love) Rex (breaker)

thanks soo much for posting this guide! I had ordered the game when it first came out and can understand some of the actions as I’m taking Japanese now, but this guide will make it soo much easier to play. truly appreciate the work and effort you put into this thanks!
February 16, 2008 at 4:10 pm
i would like to say thanks too i bought this a while back and didnt play for a while. but thanks to this guide it should be easier to play
and understand thanks again~ also which install option is best? first or second?
February 18, 2008 at 2:13 pm
Glad to help
At the moment I’m playing Disgaea 3, so there wont be update ^^;
but feel free to ask question here
March 23, 2008 at 12:29 am
I have a quick question I can’t seem to find the books required to for me to resurrect my past characters. I have only been able to resurrect Leonhart so far.
March 23, 2008 at 12:42 am
Books are found from chest in quest mode.
If you are able to resurrect leonhart that means you should be able to resurrect all generation 1 heroines as well.
March 23, 2008 at 10:50 pm
Yeah, I just meant that I could only get the first gen so far. Now last question, I’m just trying to narrow down my search because I haven’t found the other books yet.
In order to unlock the second gen, do I need to find the book in the third gen map? or to unlock second gen, is the book in the second gen map?
March 24, 2008 at 2:42 am
@Sheis: yes, in order to unlock second gen you have to find the book in third gen map, 3rd gen on 4th gen and so on.
Based from gkwiki2:
2nd gen book: 3rd gen quest map 氷樹
3rd gen book: 4th gen quest map ビヴレスト山脈
4th gen book: 5th gen quest map 霊峰ウッタラ・クル

Wonderful guide !!! Thank you so much !
But I have a question : What are the conditions to perform “superiors skills” ? There was a tutorial in the game but I don’t understand it …
Thanks
April 13, 2008 at 11:46 pm
Oups ! Sorry … I mean “superiors arts”, not “superiors skills” !
I’m waiting for your help
April 14, 2008 at 12:16 am
do you mean the special skills (EX) that requires SP? you will get SP everytime you perform skill (+5 SP) or killed enemy (forgot how many SP) once you have enough SP, you should be able to perform EX.
there are 3 EX for each character, and you can combo them to make even powerfull EX
April 14, 2008 at 2:22 am
Thank you for your help !!
I think the tutorial was about the “combination between 2 EX (special skills)”… but I’m not sure … lol.
It’s in the software manual at page 34 (bottom)
May 1, 2008 at 4:55 am
How do you use the item named “book of technique” ?
Thanks a lot
May 1, 2008 at 3:21 pm
you don’t use it. When you obtain the book, you can see more technique in your technique list
May 8, 2008 at 4:47 am
Got it ! thank you so much !
I know I’m annoying but I have an other question :
I’m at the end of “part 5″ in your first generation walkthrought, but “Luana” is still not in my party … Did I miss something ?
May 8, 2008 at 10:47 am
eh that’s strange.
Do you have all the characters from 1st generation in your party? because with forbidden book found in 2nd generation you can revive the 1st gen characters (leonhardt, fyuria, luana and elaine)
May 8, 2008 at 4:52 pm
For now I’ve got : Leo, Elise, Borgnine, Villaroa, Fyuria, Zeruva and Winfield.
I’m in “Southern Romu Valley” and I chose the “Normal” mode at the beginning of the game (I don’t know if it’s important…).
May 9, 2008 at 3:37 pm
Those thing shouldn’t make any difference in the case of luana. but I’m not 100% sure tho.. I don’t think luana is one of the missable character..
If you don’t have luana, you can’t complete the party, and can’t go to the true ending path.. (which will open new alternate world)
May 16, 2008 at 11:04 pm
what’s the install option on the menu for?

May 17, 2008 at 9:52 pm
is there new game + in this game? if there is what transfers over? money, level, items, tp, pp, books etc?
May 17, 2008 at 11:43 pm
yes, there’s new game+
If I’m not mistaken, only money, pp, tp, purchased items, and recipe carry over to the new game+.
June 1, 2008 at 7:26 pm
how come there are some weaponcrafts when i craft them it doesnt learn it? the shop wont sell it, usually it would be buyable from the shop after its been crafted once
June 2, 2008 at 10:05 am
only standard weapons/armors are buy-able in item shop after you craft them (from iron/アイアン up to platina /プラチナ levels)
June 2, 2008 at 11:53 am
does the title reqs. reset again when you have a new game+ or should i save up the hero badges?
June 2, 2008 at 12:18 pm
reset, all your badges will be removed too. Go hard difficulty if you are thinking of new game+, only hard difficulty allows you to fight the level 999 boss, normal difficulty will only give you the level 400 bosses on the true root path.
June 8, 2008 at 8:50 pm
did i somehow missed getting the last character on 5th gen? the blue clothes girl with the black wings
i saved her but then i went out back the way i came and then when i got passed the mountain quest it just kept going, no conversation or anything, the wiki guide says that after you get past the location you get the character.
is it because i exited out of the map back the way i started first?
June 10, 2008 at 12:58 am
hmm, beatrice is one of the miss able character. It’s something related to the first generation, can’t remember tho..
July 28, 2008 at 1:11 pm
What should I do with the book , in order to use the past characters?
July 28, 2008 at 1:46 pm
nothing, with that book in your possesion you can revive past generation character from the alchemy guild
August 1, 2008 at 7:46 pm
It it possible to put clearly the requirements for True Route in 5th generation? I don’t really get the Dark to neutral part? Does it mean I have to start Generation 5 in dark alingnment and then work to neutral or start at neutral?
I read the wiki ahead, but I’m now utterly confused.
August 1, 2008 at 9:16 pm
@Silverwolf X: you have to start 5th generation with neutral gauge (doesn’t have to be exact middle, you should be able to see the slices)
August 1, 2008 at 11:06 pm
Yeah i saw the slices. Ok noted. This game’s conditions have too many uncertainties its a headache at times. LOL.
August 2, 2008 at 1:18 am
So whats the benefit of ressurecting characters from the previous generations in the current generation anyway?
August 2, 2008 at 2:44 am
need to have all characters to open the true path. The main reason you need neutral gauge at the start of gen 5 is for getting dishana (she only joins when you are neutral), and another thing I forgot to tell you is that you also need to finish 5th gen with neutral gauge to open the true path
August 3, 2008 at 12:08 am
Ok, looks like I’ll have to choose the choices carefully to Dark in G5 since you’re forced 4 Light boosts in 4 main events there. -.-;;
So i need to ressurect all the past generation characters? start G5 at neutral and maintain neutral. Go it.
I still don’t get how ressurecting the mains from past generations decides the true route since they say nothing or add nothing to the current generation, eg: G1 Leonhart and his 3 heroines never say anything in G2 when you raise them from Alchemy. :/
If I’m not wrong, I heard that events in true route will let you get them back anyway and with story.
August 8, 2008 at 2:51 pm
to silverwolf…
during those “1st 4 light boosts” it depend in which order u defeat them and what bosses u verse at the end of the battle sets…. cuz they somtimes beccome dark…. i know on one play through it was 2 dark and 2 light…. and rather than having 2 birds and i dark evil knight for the boss fight i got 2 dark evil knights onlky and it changed to light….i ll try and figure the order out later..
ill try to help also….. but right now im currently making a easer to understand Monster guild guide…..
email or ask here for questioms [hope ron doeset mind]
August 9, 2008 at 5:05 pm
The order is stated on the wiki it seems. I guess I’ll give it a go. Nearing the end of G4…
August 10, 2008 at 2:15 am
Gah should have followed the wiki, missed Myurumina. Gah after all that work. Oh well saw normal end, time to start again… >.<
August 10, 2008 at 9:21 am
ouch…. that sucks….but at least u know ure way around now…..
August 11, 2008 at 10:56 am
make sure to restart on hard difficulty, you can only go fight lvl 999 bosses on hard difficulty, normal difficulty true path ends at lvl 400 bosses.
August 11, 2008 at 3:03 pm
silverwolf… request ure email..have some questions….
also for ron… im trying to make a monster guild guide..do u have anything to add [and of course ill credit u..] (^_^)
August 11, 2008 at 3:06 pm
nope, not at the moment
, just make sure you mention the monsters for the items related to the +999 ATK and +900 MAG equipments
August 11, 2008 at 3:54 pm
yup..no pob…found ways to get those a little erlier and faster….took a lot of mixing and time…….lol… u still playing this game or playing disegaea 3 ? [im lost on disgaea 3...just got jap ver....]
August 11, 2008 at 3:58 pm
been a while since I last played Agarest Senki ^^
I still play Disgaea 3 tho, thanks to DLC hehe
August 13, 2008 at 3:50 am
I’m on hard now. 99 999 atks and 60 900 mags.. all the cash items and a few of the best gear and skills and abilities for almost everyone. I think I’m going insane… (real end was nice btw. ^^)
Just hover my avatar here for my email, its spammed to hell anyway, so make sure your topic doesn’t get eaten by the spam filter. LOL.
Maybe we should dicuss at gamefaqs and ressurect the very dead forum there? lol.
August 13, 2008 at 12:09 pm
yeah i was going to start ressurecting it when i completed a monster faq, but now i wanna create a walkthrough in which u GET EVERYTHING ie; 100%CG profile..best gear…etc…but how about U email me ALL ure notes…stuff[of course ill credit u also] when i get this faq done….
August 14, 2008 at 1:18 am
All my notes came from the Japanese wiki actually, i also have a so called choice walkthrough for a single run (but not get everything).
The most annoying thing i noticed about Agarest is that its Gallery is buggy, even if you get CG100%, the gallery bugs out and shows you 82% from mid 1st Gen to late 5th gen. -.-;;
They should have used a universal system data for the gallery if you ask me.
August 14, 2008 at 2:51 am
if i beat the game in hard difficulty and does hard difficulty new game +, does the equipment and item carry over like easy mode new game +?
August 14, 2008 at 3:31 am
Yes it carries over. Heck if you are on true route you can practically hoard loot and points with the insane amount you’ll be getting from the super high level enemies and L999 bosses. :/
August 14, 2008 at 6:03 pm
its says error on page or black technology…..is something wrong with my comp? and iss it just me or how to deal 200 million damage Cofusing as hell? [on the jap wiki]
August 15, 2008 at 12:49 am
Silverwolf_X@hotmail.com
Its possible to deal that much with all your main guys in true route and all at insane levels. Well thats what I’m gonna try on my current run anyway. Time for some power levelling~
August 15, 2008 at 3:40 am
the nly clue i got was off the internet boards in which the “team” was maxed thee F#% out [999 str 999 agl..etc.. Best weapons all the item boosts correct skills eqpt….dunno which ones…. and im trying to see if there was a certain enemy or order in which to hit an enemy with….
August 15, 2008 at 6:21 am
also sent u an email…hope it doesnt get trashed……
August 16, 2008 at 12:26 am
Haven’t really bothered with maxing out since everything resets when you go new game+ anyway. LOL.
I’ll probably do that once I get enough of the best stuff for everyone first I guess.
August 26, 2008 at 7:27 pm
Hey there,
I can sorta get around the menus since i’ve played other Idea Factory srpgs and i can somewhat understand enough of the spoken dialogue, but i since i’ve been too lazy to learn my kanji i’d probably never be able to pick the choices i want… so yeah… thanks so much, i really mean it ^_^
Um… i just wanted to say domo arigato gozaimasu for your guide
September 30, 2008 at 9:02 am
F@#$ING $#!T I JUST HEARD WORD THAT AGAREST SENKI 2 IS GOING FOR 360………..THEY BETTER RELEASE FOR THE PS3 OR IMMA BE VERY PISSED.!!!! ANYWAYS BEEN PLAYING X EDGE LOVE IT SO FAR!!!!
September 30, 2008 at 9:21 am
Agarest Senki Reappearance is not Agarest Senki 2. It’s enhanced version of the first Agarest Senki (just like PS3 Eternal Sonata is the enhanced version of 360 Eternal Sonata).
Don’t worry, if they going to release Agarest Senki 2, they will release it for PS3 as well, the reception for 1st one wasn’t that bad
September 30, 2008 at 9:32 am
oh? ok….[releases compileheart CEO from deathgrip] lol…….but in the “reapperance” whats so new/different/added???
September 30, 2008 at 9:41 am
360 will have all dungeons DLC in the disc and also more CG and voices, no one know how many new CG and voices tho
September 30, 2008 at 9:53 am
awwwwwww there goes my way of trying to get 100% CG…lol also the japan PS3 account….hard to DL the content without a japan credit card….got a few off ebay but way toooo pricy for some……..
September 30, 2008 at 9:57 am
can get the Japan PSN card from play-asia tho, i bought mine from there. You can get $10 voucher from strikebang
September 30, 2008 at 10:24 am
ic…..well ill try doing that a bit l8tr…..but thanks for the help….
October 1, 2008 at 11:46 am
just curiuos how do they MAX out there stats so fast??? EX:999 STR 999 INT..etc…..
October 15, 2008 at 11:03 am
Is there an easy way to beat the monster in the forest (second generation)? the thing has 9999 hp and his regeneration is a killer…
October 21, 2008 at 12:46 pm
my best bet would be to do combos/grind/etc… also i think thats the one where you can setup your characters to where you can have one WAYYY up front and the others just enough to revive with an item and heal the rest of your party and then when set…use your EX skills and spam…….i did that on my 1st playthrough wheni was versing the lv 250+ bosses….
October 22, 2008 at 12:54 am
Thanks for the tip, kintaro! I’ve been waiting a while for someone to respond
I’ve also been working on leveling and capturing monsters then converting them to MAG+, HP+, ATK+, DEF+ gems(?)
October 22, 2008 at 4:20 pm
HAHA IM STILL MAKING A MONSTER GUIDE but a good thing is that some monsters can become higher in level….so remember which ones and craft them….
October 24, 2008 at 7:41 am
I can’t wait to see it, kintaro
October 25, 2008 at 9:39 am
well iff u need help i try and check often…silverwolf is good too
October 25, 2008 at 9:42 am
still no word for fastest way to make 999STR,INT,etc…??? ron? silverwolf X??
November 12, 2008 at 6:27 am
Hello. This is my first import game and it’s getting a bit good thanks to this guide and I know 0% japanese ._. But I have a few questions hopefully if someone is still around.
1. What is this true path route specifically?
2. If I missed a Book of Resurrection for a previous generation before I had to go to the next one, can I still get it back?
3. When I select a skill and perform it, I see the target’s HP and above it is the some blue-greenish bar; if I mash the X button, it slows it down What does it do and what am I suppose to do with?
4. I haven’t gotten an Arts skills but if I do get one, how do I link just in case I don’t get the tutorial?
That’s all the questions I have at the moment. Thank you if someone answers these
November 12, 2008 at 8:37 am
1. if you follow the true path, you will unlock another world (with level 400 bosses, and in hard difficulty you can unlock the lvl 400 and lvl 999 bosses)
2. You can go back to previous generation anytime you want, so you can still get the book.
3. can’t remember this one, but I think that one is the overkill/break indicator (not related with button mash.. but I maybe wrong, I’ll check it when I’m back home)
4. arts can only be linked with another arts, and most linkable arts are the second and the 3rd arts. check the Japanese wiki for the list arts combo
, I only remember fyuria and her bro for art combo
November 19, 2008 at 6:08 pm
Ah, sorry, busy busy at the moment so I haven’t gotten around playing the game further. In response, thankies ^_^
I don’t know if you looked into it but do you recall about the greenish-blue bar after performing a skill? Yeah, when the bar depleted, it goes into overkill or something… which I thought was a good thing but why did was there an option to mash the X button to slow it down?
One other question as I didn’t get this tutorial when you’re fighting against a rock (yeah, I’m that busy ._.). They talked about the glowing squares on the ground and you’re suppose to do… something. And there’s green curved arrows on the character’s heads pointing to another character closest to him/her? Does it do anything if I get the green arrow? I hope to hear a response again!
November 27, 2008 at 11:16 am
1) i dont recall a mashing the x button to slow anything down..but that BAR is for when you max out the overkill it starts FLASHING and you do more DAMAGE [which is auto/own its own] once you get that overkill bar flashing…..
those “flashing arrows/blue/colored lines along with the square that glow is like a POWER/COMBO CONNECTOR…
EACH character has a different set of connectors some may have a diagnoal pattern and some may have a spaced out one….everyone varies…
PURPOSE OF THAT….
when you get the chance[usually in menu mode or when facing a boss[ you can rearrange your characters when your going to fight...sometimes its good to let the baddies come to you to conservve AP and combo the crap out of the ones that are within your attack radius other times during boss fights you can group 3 and 3 or whatever you prefer.....
summary...
blue/green bar = overkill for more damage [don't forget to max the bar out]
squares flashing?/arrows? = combo/conector of characters…
December 31, 2008 at 12:10 am
say uh..what’s the use of PP points in this game?
btw, still in 1st gen , playing slowly…
Year Ends…Happy New Year everyone here
December 31, 2008 at 8:37 am
@FlamingY: if i’m not mistaken, PP is used to help boost your character stats, I’ll double check later tonight when I’m home
December 31, 2008 at 1:50 pm
i see, guess it’s later in game?
i cant seem to find the option of using them..and besides
we get PP points only through story battles?
January 2, 2009 at 6:29 pm
mmm…say is Valerie(?) 2nd-gen heroine , missable? kinda confuse with the JPN wiki…with all the TURNs
January 2, 2009 at 6:50 pm
@FlamingY: just checked, you get PP from story but most of the PP are available from DLC (there’s free and paid one). Valerie is not missable, it’s just if you take the wrong choices it will be impossible to make her your bride.
January 3, 2009 at 8:55 pm
i see , so i can just beat her up then…
uh…impossible? wont she ask questions near the end of the 2nd gen? like how the 3 does in the 1st gen.
and about the book/whatever that’s needed to resurrect the 1st gen hero/heroines, is the quest place missable? and do i get them back ASAP or wait till later gens?
Thanks
January 4, 2009 at 5:08 am
mmm, does it cost money for the resurrections? im gonna save some cash…always in a broke state for me
January 5, 2009 at 8:54 am
@FlamingY: nop, the books to resurrect past heroines are not missables. You can always go back to previous gen map with the square button
January 5, 2009 at 4:32 pm
Thanks for the info
and , will it be easier to get money later on? =.= having money difficulties , since normal battles give lil amount…
January 5, 2009 at 5:07 pm
yah, money will be easier when you are on 4th/5th gen, you will have plenty of them since you will farm items for +999 ATK and +900 MAG
some free DLCs have money as well, if you haven’t downloaded them
January 7, 2009 at 12:33 am
those resurrection is costing so much…=( i regret leveling them
January 7, 2009 at 1:10 am
haha yeah, i only resurrected fyuria at that time, since she was my favorite
January 8, 2009 at 1:06 am
=.= now im ignoring all the hero/heroines that join me…until 5th gen…only resurrected Leon, cause i needed a swordsman besides Bashutaru which is my hitORmiss swordsman -.- he’s blind
btw, what’s the proper and correct way to get Dishana? being neutral ?
January 8, 2009 at 9:38 am
i don’t use bashtar >< he’s ugly haha, but apparently some fights will be a lot easier if you have bashtar tank..
On my 1st play I made my children as sword user so I didnt resurrect Leon
yes the way to get dishana is having neutral gauge, and you need to recruit everyone as well
January 8, 2009 at 5:25 pm
im planning of having every hero a sword-user but i wont touch any of them except the 5th gen/Leon(regretted) , since lvling them will cost alot more, Leon being the cheapest to resurrect out of those 3 other gens
my Tank is Bolgnine -,- tough he’s weak against Magic alot (you’d know)XD
Thanks for the info, gonna choose choices carefully on 4th gen then…
we’d get Dishana at the start of 5th gen… or? any other character(besides Dishana) that is missable?
January 11, 2009 at 1:14 pm
I have a question, what is the green-haired mermaid’s name and do you get her automatically?
Thanks
January 11, 2009 at 7:04 pm
@FlamingY: there are 2 other missables, beatrice and bastharu (2nd rejoin)
@MermaidKasumi: yeap, wont miss her, her name is レヴェリー (Reveri)
January 11, 2009 at 10:08 pm
Thank you!
^_^
January 18, 2009 at 6:08 pm
woah…care to tell how not to miss them? Beatrice and especially Bashutar(one of my super attacker)
and do i change job ASAP or wait ?
January 19, 2009 at 4:24 am
woah! i’m back! been busy with WKC but i’ll help out here as much as possible ….
once you END G4 with NEUTRAL you should be able to get Dishana after a small even in G5 world 5…. in which she’ll join….. but to get Beatrice and bashtaru there part of the story if your on the wiki “true route/path”…. as long as you stay neutral AND SAVE A LOT BEFORE A LOT OF BATTLES since i’ve forggoten which battles have questions and effect the status bar…you’ll need to tread wisley…
AS FOR THE “PP” to USE….simple open your MENU “triangel i believe” and go to the “status bar” which should be the 2nd one starting from the top going down….and you should see ANOTHER TRIANGLE BUTTON ” on it…… push it and you’ll be able to change formations,USE PP and i think put in your monsters……
January 19, 2009 at 5:10 pm
@FlamingY: a lil bit hard to miss Beatrice, I can’t remember the details tho, but you have to follow the step by step in the wiki for Bashataru… there’s path that you have to go first in 4th gen.
Yah, change job ASAP for your mains
January 19, 2009 at 8:55 pm
I see, =( so Bashutar re-join only on 5th gen -.- i need to get a replacement asap, ~_~Bashutar, Ellis, Bolgnine leave mid-way , do they auto class change when they come back?
i think i did the event in 3rd gen for the Beatrice recruitment, is it the 3 battle fight at Soleli? (cant remember the place)
and thanks for the help guys =)
January 24, 2009 at 10:34 am
i belieave if you did the 3rd gen beatrice thingy it SHould work….as for the bashtaru, ellis borgunine thing NO they don’t change class…..you’ll just be surprised though to the story if your on the “true path”….
just make sure to try and keep your choices to keep you in the “neutral” throughout the game….. good luck
January 26, 2009 at 12:32 am
The female chatcers in this game a attrative and you can marry them but it makes the ending screne short(like in Desiga games)also in Mana khemias as well but small price to play for heavy anime graphics.
January 28, 2009 at 4:26 am
Hello~ First of all, thanks for the little guide!
I found it very useful for the beginning of the game, now I’m using the Japanese wiki (thanks for linking to it)
By the way, I’d like to know how to convert items like weapons. I mean, what should I do after making them reach level 5?
January 28, 2009 at 5:35 am
theres a big/muiltiple way of crafting…. so far the best ones to convert into items are almost ALL of the items you buy from the guild/guy in the town…….and if you can read kanji/jap you’ll notice some “recipies” to makeing stronger tier weapons….
but since your starting off….i’d recommend going through 1 or 2 playthroughs and getting you EP/SP/PP points up [[SAVE THEM until your SURE SURE to make it your FINALY PLAYTHROUGH or you just wanna kill more time buy earning them the long way..]
January 28, 2009 at 8:50 am
@suke~pon: to convert item, just upgrade the item once more after upgrading 5 times.
January 29, 2009 at 8:52 am
@kintaro: Damn, I’m always using all of my points when i get them x_x
@ron~: Hmm, but after upgrading my weapons 5 times I only seem to be able to get some.. stone, or some bag :s
January 29, 2009 at 9:29 am
@suke~pon: yep that’s correct, most item will convert to raw materials for crafting other weapons
January 30, 2009 at 2:42 am
oh, ok. then where and how do you craft new weapons?
Btw, do you happen to know where I can get that Fyuria CG: http://www.compileheart.com/agarest/hint2.html (click on 次へ)
January 30, 2009 at 8:18 am
hmm forgot the step by step, but you can get it from here
http://www.otadesho.com/agarest-senki-cg-second-batch/
February 2, 2009 at 11:47 pm
man, i so wish to get to Gen 5 asap…but there’s no time T.T
i wanna know something, how many class up item do we get? i got 13 so far…used one for Leon(my boss), im gonna class up all the main heroes and Dishana(if i get her)
February 13, 2009 at 2:01 am
I got X edge Game i know this is unrelated but What levels do yoju’re characters need to take Down Etna(the darkworld)
Mine are really low i watch the youtube sample one the person doing had crappy levels and Etna barly broke a sweat killing his charcters
February 13, 2009 at 1:54 pm
@Risasfeet: sorry can’t help there, i haven’t met etna yet in x-edge, been playing that game very2 slow, busy with other games :p
April 4, 2009 at 8:43 am
So i just started playing but how do I complete the first quest?
April 9, 2009 at 1:08 am
hmm what do you mean by first quest? you can read 1st generation walkthrough on my post above. just click the “show” link.
April 25, 2009 at 10:11 pm
Disega 3 is fun but hard if you’re levels are too low
June 12, 2009 at 4:48 pm
for RISA
Xedge? well i have the japanese one and i know a lot of peeps nowadays are playing the US ver…..for levels beat the montser fast and combo HIGH….you’ll be able to do a “NEwgame+” of some sort and i’m not sure but the japanese one we were able to KEEP ALL THE ITEMS and levels..but i think ONLY If you beat/play on HARD ….. so for recomendation
1) PLay through and just get as much items/stuff you can…then on the 2nd playthrough just go crazy doing damage…NOW if you don’t wanna do and 2nd playthrough… hope that you get the TRUE ending the 1st time..cuz its easy to mess up!…
June 12, 2009 at 7:31 pm
@kintaro: I just started playing my X Edge, like a week ago haha (yah I know it’s late, got it last year, it’s the japanese ver btw). I’m playing normal difficulty atm, planning to go hard on second play through. But I like Agarest senki more compared to x edge tho.. I cant wait for agarest zero
June 13, 2009 at 3:33 pm
hey ron….well i dunno about the US version but i hope that all the DLC they had for game in JAPAN will be INCLUDED or they’re gonna be a BIG WAIT for the DLC for the US/Canada release!…
neways…. i hope you enjoy your game and if you need ne help i’ll try …i wonder what happened to silverwolf? hehe…
July 6, 2009 at 1:13 am
An English Version of the Game is coming end of Augest 2009
July 14, 2009 at 4:03 am
thanks you
im play agarest senki zero but i don’t speack japonese lol
need help for translate menu but i don’t kill the 2 boss all player is lvl 10 11
max combo 50 max damage 6600
July 14, 2009 at 11:02 am
@macfly: your max damage is kinda low. have you equipped all your characters with +12 STR / +12 INT in the armor/accessory slots? you can convert the accessory that you make from the blacksmith to +12 any stats (depends on the accessory).
Don’t really need to be able to comprehend japanese to play agarest till finish. understanding katakana will help a lot tho
July 14, 2009 at 3:34 pm
thanks ^^
no 1 caracters have def+35 and rst+40 other nothing
but a don’t capture a monster it’s possible to agarest senki zero ?
what symbol is capture skill for agarest zero ??
July 14, 2009 at 4:00 pm
@macfly: not sure what you mean by no 1 characters have def +35 and rst +40… do you mean you only have 1 character equipped with armor?
and yea you can capture monster in agarest senki zero, still same with the previous one. read my tip on how to capture monster above.
you need dark based skill called 捕獲
July 14, 2009 at 4:31 pm
where is capture skill ?
i have this: (フリーアタック)
July 14, 2009 at 4:55 pm
that’s the Free attack skill, that skill won’t kill enemy (it won’t reduce hp less than 1 if it’s more than 1). use that one together with the capture skill to capture enemy. it’s not 100% chance also even with 1 hp, decided by LUCK
July 14, 2009 at 5:05 pm
ok monsters have 1 hp for capture and use (フリーアタック)
sorry its my fist agarest type game
you don’t have a save game for me lol
do you speak french LOL
ps: what your psn id ?
the 2 quest
the boss style fish is very difficult for me
July 14, 2009 at 5:14 pm
no no, you dont use フリーアタック to capture, that one to help you reduce to 1 hp. use 捕獲 to capture.

i’ve been reading the guide and just want to double check that in order to get Valeria do i need to be neutral?
Is there any other sites to find guides since its quite confusing using google translate lol
November 4, 2009 at 10:19 am
I don’t think there’s a gauge requirement for valerie, you just need to get here “love” status high from selecting the correct choices.

hello,
just wondering, how do i get lots of tp in battle. maximum im getting at the moment is 4 per battle. i’ve read it’s about the number of hits you make but what is the best combo to reach 50 hits plus?
also, what item can you get +AP?
Thx…
November 9, 2009 at 11:41 pm
Will you still get to keep your Gold, EP, TP and PP if you go from Normal to Hard or that doesn’t get transferred either?
November 10, 2009 at 7:05 am
if you play it on hard and do new game+ on hard, what exactly transfers and what doesn’t?
November 10, 2009 at 8:57 am
@lockhart: you’ll get more on boss batle, it’s kinda hard to get 50 hits early in the game. and I don’t really remember what combo, it’s been 2 years.
High level gears tend to add more AP, especially the accessories.
@fadem: normal to hard, you’ll keep your money, shop data, pp, bp. everything else will be gone, including the item.
@shogundarius: hard to hard will transfer everything except the levels.

hello, just bought game and im kinda stuck in beginning against that unknown beast. What am i supposed to do?
January 10, 2010 at 4:58 pm
not sure which beast.. there’s one that you just need to wait 4 turns and the fight will end
January 11, 2010 at 2:52 am
yea thats the one, it doesnt end for me : ) according to this guide its Part 1 1.4
Its seems all i can do is end move, if by the second move any of my characters are linked, a dialogue comes up saying something about “AP”. It then ends my move and thats it. I cant press anything including backing out, i know its not frozen cuz the blue haired guy feet is still tapping and music is playing.
On the other hand if by second move none of characters are linked it never ends. The monster will follow me around just killing me. How come i cant fight back?
Thanks in advance and sorry for long post

Hello, I have a question..
I cannot make any platinum weapons, I need more blacksmith books, can’t find them, Is it in Gen 2? I’m missing to kill a few bosses for title: Tree Spirit, Miesha and Mucrane. Where do I find those? I went to all Gen 2-3 areas and can’t find them.
I tried TP exchange but none got me the book for platinum gears.
Thanks in advance!
my PSN is okahoka

I am reading some things that suggest going over 100 turns in a generation blocks the true end.
I went over 100 turns in the 1st generation. I am in 2nd gen now. Do I have to start over to get true end?
July 12, 2010 at 10:26 am
@AG: I don’t think it’s only for 1st gen, there’s a total turn limit before you reach last generation in order to get the true end. but I can’t remember how many turns.
