Bought this figurine several months ago, but untill now she is still my number one favorite figurine. This is my first attempt doing photograph using light box, made the box from Happy Soda’s tutorial.
The figurine is a 1/6 scale figurine, it’s huge. Full view of figurine
Back view of the figurine (love the pantsu ^^)
She has “MOE” written all over her, look at her face.. loli innocent face.. moe! look at her eyesss (top and bottom eyes!).. moe!.. look at her, look at her!
She is perfect in every ways (every sides)..
Her hair color is nice and elegant
Not only that the she is cute, but the quality of this figurine is excellent, the book bellow her is actually has words
And her suitcase also has high details
Overall, she is perfect! Now let’s see her panty shot again for the last picture of her ^^
There is no publisher hologram for this figurine, the only hologram you can find only the distributor hologram (Japan for mine). Figurine box:

You can see Happy Soda review here which is alot better than mine ^^;

ps: You may want to ask why did I choose white background? because I don’t have any other big paper >_< . I know that white is bad, it’s way too bright.. I’m going to buy different color of large papers soon ^^;

The only figure that stand appart from the others of my collection, that is to say just next to my TV screen. Then when what I’m watching is boring, I can admire this cutie
I also like the way they put real latin text on the book, from real works.
Nice shots though, white background are, in my opinion, the hardest to handle.

Ooooh~
Some fairly nice shots compared to your previous stuff!
As you said, white background isn’t the best, but we make do with what we got~ XD
Keep up the good work, I can see some great shots coming from you in the future.
p.s. nice figure…I decided that I wanted it AFTER it was discontinued~ >.<

Better than some of your previous photo shoots. Though a bit of advice, you may want to adjust the lighting distance as some sections appear to be too bright.

Yukanalia is a cutie.
You might try moving the main light back a couple of inches or shifting the angle to reduce the heat in some of the highlights and even out your shadow and highlight. It may sound counter intuitive, but moving the light a little further away will help with a white background.
Keeping the background white is tricky and there’s a couple of ways to go about it and still keep the figure nicely lit. Since that’s the one everyone seems to try, I’ll think I’ll put together a post specifically on that.

I jut bought her…She’s awesome!
As I stated on Figure.fm, I did notice one thing. The long post that is suppose to attach to her side is a bit short. Either that of I have not pushed her down enough on the other side to make the proper hight… I’m afraid to do so. she is beautiful, but might wind up back in her box very soon as it’s getting warmer her.

Oops, forgot to say. As far as photography, keep at it. I’m just starting out myself but have a set back since I returned my point&shoot digital camera (a Canon SD900). In a couple of months I am looking at getting a DSLR… maybe a Pentax k100 (great price on this one), or k10. For now I am looking at shelling out some cash on a new mac. Any new Figurines will have to wait too.

@adun & super rats: thanks for the advice ^^ I was using exposure to make the background white, because I only had 1 white lamp, but I bought the 2nd and 3rd one yesterday. I hope for next photos I don’t need to use exposure.
@JB: congrats for getting her. regarding long post, the length should fit fine, you may need to push the other side more ^^;

^ Very delicate but I got the figure a bit lower on the stand. Also have to be very careful with the pegs that attache to the suitcase. Thanks
Keep up the photography. I was just getting started myself but chose to return a point&shoot camera I had bought. Waiting to get a DSL instead.
