1/6 Saber, Holiday Dress Version ~ by Good Smile Company

Not many figures that I want for this month :( well except for the haruhi april restock from HLJ, but I’m not sure if I can get it. So rather than doing nothing, I took my old figurine and did some photo shoot, trying with different style :)

One thing I like about this figure is the superb quality, and the size is quite big :)

Interesing background you have there. Though the lighting you used is a bit sharp and shows the shinyness of the figure. Also for a GSC figure, I’m quite surprised that this one doesn’t look that great as her eyes look really weird to me.

I’m using the camera flash, because I don’t have white desk lamp, they are all yellow colored @_@ and I still need to learn a lot of photograph skill :D

about the quality, the paint quality is very good, sculpt quality also very good, maybe it’s just the sculpt design, but I do like this figurine alot :D

Some nice close up shots, but far from being “artsy” lol.

This was at Hobby Japan a few weeks back, I saw the quality and it was indeed quite nice, but as Adun said, the eyes also look a lil off to me.

Hmm, for the photography, I had a lil education in it at TAFE but most of it was self taught with online resources and of course, trial and lots of error :P

I could show you how I take outdoor shots if you’re willing to accompany me, but be prepared to get at least some stares from passerbys as they question our motives with taking photos of little women…^^;

at the moment, I’m not ready for outdoor shot :p had the idea to take outdoor shoot when i was about to go bbq at yarra park with friends, but canceled it.

I think I need to get better camera 1st, I can’t get sharp picture with my camera if I use micro mode without using flash; or at least I need to buy a tripod @_@

Great pics of Saber you have there.

nice pics ron~, i got the gsc 1/6 saber as well, but haven’t go to photographing her yet

i have this same figure, but i wonder if you have the same problem as me.
mine is bending/leaning forward, probably due to heat. any way you know that can get around this?

hmm this figurine shouldn’t have leaning/warping issue, but you can try hot water treatment mentioned here
